Work, work, work, thats all we hear about in the daily existance that we call life. We either have to be enrolled in school or we have to work to make money to live. But, for those who cannot afford to go to school and cannot find a job then living is tough.
In todays economy one only has to look around to see the troubles that lies ahead with jobs and health reform. Some people for it and some people are against it. Which side am i on? Well in reality i could not care. It sounds cruel and mean but when you think about it, its everyones fault, we all had a little part in the downfall of our economy. People buying houses and stuff they couldnt afford then not being able to pay the payments on it would lead to bankrupcy which would then lead to the bank/government having to pay for it. I think that people need a good dose of reality in theirs lives in order to see what damage they are causing to the economy, not just to themselves but to everyone in the nation.
People need to wake up from their rose tinted world and see what will happen in the future if they keep spending the way they are.

Valentines Day

A day of romance, passion, and a murder most foul. Lol sorry had to quote corpse bride, but really we all see V-day as it is known as a day of love and devotion for the couple in the world who show how much the love their significant other by buying them things. Now what exactly it shows that one day out of the year we are supposed to love them more then we normally do i guess. But Aren't we supposed to love them the whole time not just one day out of the year? I would think and hoper so i mean this is probably the reason you are with this certain guy/girl. And if it's not and you were just looking for someone to be with for v-day then good luck.
But what exactly does this day mean for the people who have no person to love? It means a day of sitting alone eating chocolate hearts and watching either a)Horror movies, b)bad romance movies, or c)good romance movies which make you feel bad for not habing a certain special someone in your life. Me? I would most deffinately chose A because that is exactly what i did on v-day i watched seed of chucky and the thing all day just watching blood and gore made me feel better. Sounds weird? Yeah I know but when your alone and have no one to love then you kind of watch things you think would make you feel good about yourself.
But for couples v-day is just another way of showing how much you love them. Some couples do alot like buy a whole crap load of things while others just have a simple dinner to just say hey i love you. Well whatever you do on the day of "love" just be sure not to do anything stupid. And whether your alone watching a scary movie or with you special girl/boy then remember v-day is a day where things happen that you do not expect.
Cold day and class
Sitting in a classroom watching the snow float by the window as if for the first time is pretty much what every college student thinks on the first day of a big snow. One thing all of us miss more then anything from high school.....snow days. The one thing we will never have again unless of course its like the snow apocalypse then i think we would be out for quiet awhile. But why do we still go even when the snow is up to our knees and our cars wont start? Its because after we walk across that stage at the end of our high school career we say goodbye to sitting at home drinking hot cocao, watching a movie, and sledding on a real bad snow day. Why is that you ask?
College. That right there is there answer to everything, from snow days to why do i have to get up so early yet leave so late. We apply to these institutions every year trying to further our education and eventually make good money doing some job. Yeah i'm doing the same thing going to college to get my degree in marine bio but i have had this on my mind for quiet some time now between snow days and school which i have not been to in almost a week. Why is that you ask? I'm a commuter which means i go back and forth from my house in Lawrenceburg,KY and Lexington,KY which in between those two cities there is a BIG difference. Such as in Lawrenceburg the road when snowed upon are rarely salted and are usually covered in ice, while in Lexington the road are salted and normal. But yet here i am in class waiting to be picked up and taken home where i will have to walk up my driveway which by the way is covered in ice just so i can come back here again tomorrow and do it again.
It may sound a little whiny but when you have to walk up a giant hill in order to get home daily just because the school you go to does not think about the students that commute daily to this college. Why do i do this? Because its worth it to leave my annoying family everyday and come to a place where no one knows me because i dont talk.

Zombies and Simple Life

We see them in movies, books, television, and video games; their our favorite horror movie monster. The zombie, a corpse risen from teh grave to feed on the brain of the living. Although it may be gross and weird, we have something to learn from our demented little friends. Compared to us humans, zombies have the simple life that we all long to have.
Today in the world all we do is rush, rush rush, thats all we know and will ever know. From the time we can walk all we do is run around until the day we die. Get the homework done, get to work on time, get married by the time i'm thirty, win the lottery, and much more. Now i know how and what does a zombie have to do with me? Well if you look at the way of life that they live, it is pretty much what everyone hopes to have, peace in life, relaxing, happiness. A zombie only has two things on his/her mind brain and how will they get their next meal. No work, school, dating,or all the other stuff that get us all worked up and frazzeled. They walk around all day doing nothing and they are happy about it, but when they find a meal they experience pure happiness that they have found what they were looking for. These two states of mind is how a zombie survives through random things, hunger and happines are their only states of mind.
Random? I know but have you ever thought about what would bring about pure happiness? Is it a book, food, movies, drugs, or anything else. Zombies have something we dont have and that is a sense of acomplishment when they complete what they wanted to do which is find a meal. Maybe if we try this lifestyle where you dont rush around and do what you want without worrying what will come of it, then maybe or world would be a simpler place.
Selective Disaster Hearing

Sitting on the couch these days is a normal past-time for most people in the United States. Lately you can't turn on the television without hearing about a disaster that has kill hundreds of thousands of people, but what do American's really hear? Hati as one such example, no one care about this country but bam a disaster strike and all of a sudden we care? Please, disasters happen all over the world this one just happens to be close to home.
Across the ocean in the heart of Africa in Darfur,Sudan a war has been going on since the year 2003. Over 300,000 people have died in that country from hunger, thirst, disease, battle, and many other ways. Has our country helped? Nope, they wont even recognize the fact that what is happening over there is considered genocide. What does this show, as long as we the American's get something out of the deal then we will help those in need. Its more of a you scratch my back and i'll scratch yours. Maybe, if our news would start to show more of what is happening around the world rather then what is happening near home maybe our population wouldn't be so blind as to what is happening and what is being kept from them.
To close this blog I want/hope my reader while sitting down to watch the evening new to think for about five minutes while the news reporter goes on and on about some horrible thing happening half-way around the world. Think about what are they not telling you, is it the whole store that your getting through the news? Ask questions about what our leaders are letting us know from where is our money going which is off topic but ask about what is our country doing to help those who dont have the means to help themselves. Africa,Asia, tunesia, and many other places where we have no clue how their people live or what is going on in their country. Ask what is going on.
